Ever since the release of the mesmerising debut EP “Creation Myths” that we’ve kept an eye on It Only Gets Worse, the project joining Mories on the instrumental side and Matt Finney on spoken word. After a series of smaller releases which include “Buried Alive” (a re interpretation of Drake‘s “Buried Alive Interlude”), “Love Songs” and “Great Northern” (all of which can be found here), the duo is finally set to release their first full-length, titled “Christian Country Home”. Although it is only set for an official release on January 2016, the nice folks at Tartarus Records are already streaming it and you can do just that just below.

Regarding the words behind the album, Matt Finney comments that «In a lot of ways it’s me writing about my home in the best way that I can. It’s also about the past 2-3 years where I’ve had to become a caretaker for my dad, it’s about me trying to get over someone and it’s about me trying not to fuck everything up. It’s about me trying to let go. I couldn’t have done this if I didn’t have someone as incredibly talented Maurice in my corner.»

Christian Country Homecomes out on January 15 in an edition of 100 tapes via Tartarus Records.

We should also mention that last month CVLT Nation premiered the following video directed by Gretchen Heinel for “Still”, the last song of the album.
