Though the year draws to a close, a few events still lay ahead perfectly capable of joining it’s highlights. Two of them will come on November 30 and December 1, as Zu make their awaited return to Portugal after more than five years of absence. In the meantime, the Italians went on hiatus, came back with The Locust‘s Gabe Serbian on drums, released “The Left Hand Path” (Trost Records, 2014), a collaboration with Oxbow‘s Eugene Robinson, and an incredible full-length “Cortar Todo” (Ipecac Recordings, 2015), where they went further than ever before in exploring the metallic edges of their wildly experimental free-jazz based compositions.

This should all make for some explosive life performances, something Portuguese audiences will have a change to experience in Galeria Zé Dos Bois in Lisbon on the last day of November and in Porto’s Cave 45 on the first of December. More information on the respective events can be found here and here.
