MOASE (shorthand for Memoirs Of A Secret Empire) seem to have been born not so much to punch it’s listeners into oblivion but to provide them with a medium for a cinematic experience, a common trait amongst many a post-prefixed rock or metal outfit, but an intriguing proposition nevertheless when properly carried out. If hints of the potential characterising the Portuguese trio were already present both in their 2013 self-released EP and specially their live performances, “Vertigo”, the band’s forthcoming debut full-length, should make it clear just how serious you should take them.

Recorded at the Blacksheep Studios and featuring guest-work by Ricardo Remédio (Löbo, RA), “Vertigo” is set for a cd released by Signal Rex on September 30 and to hit the stages in October when the band embarks on a tour with label mates Löbo. Before that, it will stream in its entirety for the first time in this year’s Amplifest (as if there were not enough reasons to go there already).
