With 29 years of activity, Rotting Christ are one of the oldest, most revered black metal bands in existence and rightfully so. Moreover, there’s no discernible desire of slowing down or getting complacent, as should be clear through their upcoming record “Rituals”, the twelfth full-length of their storied career, which comes out next week on February 12 through Season Of Mist. The record, containing guest appearances from personalities such as Paradise Lost and Bloodbath vocalist Nick Holmes and Samael‘s Vorph, was made available today for streaming and you can do so below. Regarding it, frontman and founding member Sakis Tolis had the following to add:
“Dear Friends, herewith I proudly present to you our latest creation ‘Rituals’! These 11 brand new tracks are united by their mission to take you to the sublime devotion, which can only be achieved by a ritual. We are unearthing some lost knowledge and secrets from around the globe, before they sink deeper into the dustbin of history. Take a deep breath and dive with us into the abyss!”
Recall that later this year Rotting Christ return to Portugal to headline the 2016 edition of Santa Maria Summer Fest, which takes place in Beja between 9 and 11 of June.
